So the tone potentiometer wasn’t working properly. It was inconsistent and all of the pots were stiff. With recording coming soon, it was time for an upgrade.
Craig wanted something made in America, so he got the Emerson Custom Prewired Kit. They’re a company based out of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Here’s the link to their website: http://www.emersoncustom.com/ They make their own potentiometers too. (And they also make trucker hats so watch out!)
When we replaced the insides of the Fender Telecaster, the prewired kit didn’t quite fit right at first. (You can read more about that here.) Not so with the Jazz Bass kit. The components slid right in and fit perfectly in their new home.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the kit comes prewired, so that really cuts down on the soldering.
Thanks again, Emerson! =^.^=
